ABOUT.

Nineteen years of making images. Two hundred and fifty films on screen. One studio, in Abidjan — and a craft that's been refined since 2007.

In short.

Monster Studios is a film and image-making house based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. The work began in 2007. Nineteen years on, we're still building films, still investing in equipment, still working with the brands and agencies that define the West African screen.

01 / 03 · Origins
2007.
A craft, started abroad.

The work started in Los Angeles in 2007. Cinema. Image-making. Learning the craft inside the industry that wrote the rules — sets, gear, lighting, post — at the level expected of features and high-end commercials.

Nineteen years ago, an idea began forming: take what we'd learned in LA and bring it back home, eventually. Not to import a model, but to build something that could hold the same standards on West African ground.

02 / 03 · Return
2013—today.
Building the house in Abidjan.

The work moved to Abidjan. The same craft, applied to a different geography, for clients who deserved the same standards as anywhere else. Telecom giants. Regional banks. FMCG global players. Government institutions. Music labels.

Year after year, we invested. The studios grew — first the 400 m² Monster Stage, then the convertible Loft on the first floor, then The 120 on the second. Three controlled environments under one roof.

The equipment park grew with them. ARRI Alexa Mini and SXT bodies. ARRI Ultra Primes. Cooke S4i Mini. Full HMI & LED lighting. Panther dolly system. ARRI Silent generator. 141 references in stock — owned, maintained, operated by a team that knows the gear.

03 / 03 · Today
2026.
Where we stand.

Today the work continues under the name Monster Studios. Three stages. 141 equipment references. A team that knows how to use them. 250+ films delivered across 10 countries — for telecom giants, regional banks, FMCG global players, government institutions, NGOs, and the agencies that serve them.

Nineteen years on, the question hasn't changed: how do we make this film better than the last one?

04 · What we believe

Four lines that hold.

01

Built to last.

We invest in equipment, not in renting it shoot by shoot. The ARRI bodies, the Ultra Primes, the SkyPanels — they live here. Every project benefits from a park that's been maintained and grown over years.

02

Made in West Africa.

The studio was built in Abidjan, by people from the region, for clients across West and Sub-Saharan Africa. The craft is local. The standards are global — and that's a deliberate choice, not a compromise.

03

Cinema-first.

Television-grade isn't our default. Whether the brief is a 30-second TV spot, a music video, or a feature, we work to cinema standards — gear, crew, color, post. The bar doesn't drop because the budget is smaller.

04

People before logos.

We've worked with most of the major brands in the region. The work matters more than the badge. So does the team behind it.

“At Monster, we don't sell production. We build films. The difference matters.”
